After the news about the death of the Italian Minister of Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto, the DISEC committee started to separate its blocks and proposals.
Italy left the bloc in which it was to join another one where they shared their new thinking of only using weapons for military forces and protecting citizens from the misuse of these weapons, based on the assassination of their minister. Australia has put on the table the use of stealth weapons and their advantages and disadvantages. They talk about their excellent service in political crises, war, security, etc. but their destructive potential for citizens. Other countries like Russia have the option of being able to fight against terrorist gangs if the excellent development of stealth weapons is well used and controlled. This idea keeps the committee divided as they debate weapons development in more insecure and developing countries because of the misuse or corruption that may occur. The committee is currently developing working papers in at least three separate blocks, which makes the presentation of new ideas based on three main concepts, such as "the development and use of weapons in the best way," "the development of weapons in a regularized and careful way" or "ban weapons and only use them in case of extreme national or international need."
